Scenery through Stencils!

Hi Friends,

Happy Diwali to you !!!

I am going to share with you a scenery card created using various Stencils.
To make the clouds, on a water color paper, I used Bubble stencil with broken china Distress Ink. and then fuzzy cut them.
To make the land area, I used Chevron stencil with Green Distress Ink and then fuzzy cut the two pieces.

On a water color paper, I used the wet wash water coloring technique to make the night sky and background. I used Green, Broken China and Stormy Sky Distress Inks.
To make the stars, I used Stars Stencils and heat embossed with White color.
To make the evening sun, I again used Bubble stencil and colored the largest circle with yellow and Purple Distress Inks. I then fuzzy cut it out. To add some shine on the sun I generously used Glossy Accents :)

Then I assembled all the pieces using tape and foam tabs .. to give some depth in the objects. Pasted the red twine and a Flower at the middle of the scenery to fill in the blank space.
I stamped the sentiment on the vellum using Black Momento ink and cut out in banner shape.
To add some shine, I pasted one Rhinestone on the middle of the flower and other at the end of the banner.

Finally, to make the base of the card, I used Butterfly stencil and Camel Modelling paste on a bright green CS. Then I pasted my scenery on the CS using foam tape.

Hope you will like my card!!!

Hi Friends,

I am back with a new CAS style card I made for Lulupu's Challenge # 39 - Black, White and Pop of color !
I got inspiration to make this card from Beth's Little Card Blog. I tried to copy, but the original one is soooo very beautiful :)
So, here is my version of the card, Hope you will like it!

On a white CS, I pasted a black and white pattern paper from Mambi pattern paper.
Then I pasted a black CS diagonally on one side
I took print out of the wine glass from computer and heat embossed it with Gold powder.
The sentiment is from Alpha alphabet stickers which are then heat embossed with Gold, to give it the same texture as that of wine glass.
Lastly, I adhered some transparent sequins here and there .. just for interest !

Thanks!

Fun Chalkboard and Chalkbox

Hi Friends,

How are you doing?
I made a red color chalk board for a friend's daughter some time back.
I got busy with the routine so there is a delay in uploading the pics ..
So here they are ...

To make this Chalk board, I purchased a board from a local shop here and applied 4 coatings of Chalkboard Paint Red.

Once dried completely, I pasted a pattern paper on the borders, and applied a coating of Modge Podge to secure it.

I took print out of the alphabets and arranged letters on the boarders and outlined the words using black marker to give it a lift.
I pasted some ready made chipset embellishments also ..like stars, hearts, car etc ..

Here is a close up of the words that I made :-P

Also I altered one plastic box to make a chalkbox. For this, I pasted pattern paper on the edges and one cute little horse on the top :)

Hope you will like my chalk board.. thanks for stopping by !!!

Pattern Paper Flowers

Hi Friends,

Happy Janamashtami!!

Today I made a colorful flowery card, and here it is ...

For background, I used white water color paper. The yellow pattern behind, is heat embossed using 'Autumn Crisp - Clear Acrylic Stamp - Pine'.

I used scallop punch to punch out 3 colorful flowers from Mambi print pattern paper. To highlight the edges of the flower, I distressed them with Pink distress ink and an ink blender

Tied brown color twine across the card twice and then pasted the flowers using foam tabs to give some dimension.

Just to add more jazz, I stamped one bee and colored it, & used glossy accents at the center of the flower.

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday stamp set ! The border of the card is made from yellow Washi tape.

Hope you will like my card !!  :) :)

Embossed and Distressed Money Envelopes

Hi Friends,

Today I am going to share few Cash envelopes that I made for gifting. Please have a look at them. I decided to use stencils and embossing technique on white water color paper.

This one is totally different from the rest of the lot as I used Metallic Gold Embossing Paste on Echoes Stencils on red color CS. Once the paste is dried up, to add more shine, I added red color glitters. Chomped the corners. Layered it on dark green color CS and distressed the front of the envelope through Mustard Seed Distress Ink.

This one is my favorite, may be because of the color :-P. Using  Seedless Preserves distress Ink I colored the front of the envelope. Then I tied a purple broad ribbon on it. I used Texture Rhapsody stencil and white embossing paste on a water color paper. Once dried I colored it with same distress ink. I pasted a matching pattern paper inside the envelope from Mambi print sheets and the punched the Border.

This one quite similar to the purple one except that I used Broken China distress Ink and tied a twine on satin ribbon to give some contrasting look.

For below envelope I used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink along with Garden Umbel stencil. In this I left some patches of white at the corners .. Just trying different styles :-P

Below is made using the Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and Garden Umbel stencil.

Time Travel stencil and Stormy Sky Distress Ink is giving some masculine look to the envelope. Actually, the front of the envelope is colored using two colors- Broken China and Stormy Sky. Then I sprayed some water on it through a mister in order to blend the two shades.

For the last envelope, I used dark pink CS. On a water color paper I stamped small flowers using Pink momento ink. Then I colored the flowers using glitter pens. Embossing is done using Harlequin stencil. I colored embossing paste using Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. To tone down the background I rubbed Worn Lipstick Distress Ink color on it using Blending tool. Once it is dried, I pasted twine and a Pink flower on it.

Hope you like these and Thanks for stopping by ..
