Today I am back with a Stone effect Tissue box holder!
I am going to show you how to get this Stone effect look by using Finnabair's Stone effect paste set and how to color it using Lindy's stamp gang shimmer sprays.
Firstly, paint the whole project using brown acrylic paint. Once it is dry, paint with grey color. When the grey color is still wet, using a damp cloth or wet wipe rub the grey color from the box so that underneath brown color start showing up. This technique gives a beautiful torn look to these grungy looking projects.
Now comes the main part of the project. Using Finnabair's Stone effect paste set and Tim Holtz's stone layering mini stencil set give a good coverage to the whole box. The paste set contains three textures - Limestone, Pumice and Concrete. I am in total love with these textures. These are water based mediums that look beautiful real looking effect to your project without any effort !!!
Using my most loved 'Art is' stencil I gave scripting effect to the project through white acrylic paint.
To bring everything together, I gave generous amount of splatters on the box using white and black acrylic paints and thin brush.
Use Lindy's stamp gang Industrial Chic sprays color the box. Blue , green and brown gave a very good effect to the textures of the box. Spray a little and then using a wipe remove the stains and extra color that gets settle on the ridges of the texture.
Take some Gold Perfect pearl on your palm, through mini mister spray some water on your palm, mix well and rub on all the edges of the box. This give a beautiful shine to the project! To get dripping effect, rub some mixture on the edge and spray water generously over it, the color drips down and settle on the ridges of the texture, to give a beautiful highlight and uplifts the texture work.

Decorate the box with some simple lace on inside of the oval shape opening.
Since, this is a masculine project, I wanted to keep the embellishments simple, but why not a crown!!! So I colored the chipboard embellishment through Gold perfect pearl and pasted on the corner of the box.
Look at the close up pic of the Pumice Stone effect, the texture is so real!! LOVE LOVE LOVE !!
